Civil/Environmental Engineer
Position Type: Full-Time

Summary:
Curry & Associates, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated Civil or Environmental Engineer to join our group of successful professionals who provide engineering services to communities and clients throughout Indiana. We are seeking to hire a civil or environmental engineer who possesses sound engineering skills, the ability to partner on important infrastructure projects and desires to work in a positive and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:

Work on a team to plan and design a variety of municipal and public water, wastewater, and stormwater projects requiring a solid grasp of civil engineering

Perform and direct others in the design of structures, systems and equipment items for water, wastewater and stormwater utilities.

Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings; review and check finished design documents.

Develop project scope, budget, schedule, and project delivery plans

Develop studies, reports, design drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents

Review Contractor's shop drawing submittals.

Coordinate field activities and perform construction monitoring and administration.

Assist in the preparation of client progress reports, as requested.

Provide bidding assistance, and construction management for water, wastewater, site development, other municipal infrastructure projects

Assist with client relations and attend client meetings

Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
-
7+ years of relevant experience designing water, wastewater, water resources, and/or other infrastructure projects for public and non-profit entities (cities, counties, districts, rural utilities, etc.).

Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering

Indiana Licensed Professional Engineer

Experience with AutoCAD; and AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred

Experience with design, construction and survey practices required

Ability to visit and safely traverse construction and project sites and comply with all applicable safety codes and requirements.

Valid driver’s license

Experience with scheduling, managing resources, reviewing, and timely deliverables

Project management experience including managing subconsultants

Experience participating in meetings with clients, the public, and contractors

Experience in developing effective long-lasting relationships with clients, peers, and management
